Gender-Based Harassment Bill Reported by Lindsay Manabat at Supreme Court

Our society has been blind about what is happening in our country for the past years, especially when it comes to gender-based harassment, cat-calling, street, and online harassment.

People are afraid to reveal what has truly happened to them since there is no law for those who committed such act. But with the help of Akbayan party-list Representative Tom Villarin and Senator Risa Hontiveros, House Bill 8794 or the proposed "Safe Street, Public and Online Spaces Act," was approved on third and final reading.

With this law, there will be no men, women, or LGBTQ will no longer experience
fear by revealing what happened to them.
